I am and always will be the optimist, the hoper of far-flung hopes and the dreamer of improbable dreams.
I’ve never been more emotional about any social media post in my entire life

i wish more people said that being single is normal
and you’re not going to meet and marry someone
and that’s fine
and if marriage happens, it happens. and it’s not the next big ticket to check off in life’s checklist
because not everyone meets someone they want to marry. and that’s normal
you’re not broken or unfulfilled if you are single

Get ready for the Disney movies, people.
So I’m reading the article and then this:
For example, there is the tale of a maiden who escapes a witch by transforming herself into a pond. The witch then lies on her stomach and drinks all the water, swallowing the young girl, who uses a knife to cut her way out of the witch.
German fairytales are so brutal. (I love that)
If something’s popular and you don’t like it, you aren’t obligated to crush it under your heel and piss in its fireplace. You aren’t even required to get into the faces of people who love that popular thing and tell them how wrong they and everyone like them are! Isn’t that wonderful? A thing being popular actually doesn’t oblige you do to one single individual thing! You’re actually free to just like the things you like, and do the things you want, no matter what other people on the internet think, say, and do! There is no authority compelling you to shame people who like popular interpretations you think are stupid! Isn’t that great? Every day I think to myself, isn’t it awe-inspiring how Dumbledore died so that I could have the freedom to not have to tell people how stupid I think the things they enjoy are?
